Yoga Therapy
As a yoga therapist in training, I am excited to offer personalized yoga therapy sessions that cater to your unique needs and wellness goals. My approach uses various techniques, including tailored yoga practices, breathwork, and mindfulness, all within a supportive environment. I believe in the transformative power of yoga to promote healing and self-discovery. Join on this journey towards balance and well-being as we explore the benefits of yoga therapy together.

Scope of Practice
My scope of practice as a yoga therapist in training includes my entire background as a yoga teacher, yoga practitioner, and licensed professional counselor. I adhere to the definition of a yoga therapist as defined by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT): “Yoga therapy is the professional application of the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic relationship that includes personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices for individuals or small groups.”
Yoga Teaching Experience
I hold a 200hr class yoga teacher certification from South Hills Power Yoga in 2018. My experience in teaching yoga lies within group instruction. I have experience in power yoga, restorative, and yin yoga, and beginners’ instruction. I focus on making yoga accessible for all who want to experience any benefits yoga has to offer.
My Work as a Licensed Professional Counselor
I also hold credentials in the counseling field as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). While I am not operating as a counselor when providing individualized instruction as a yoga therapist, this background can assist in informing my interventions as a yoga therapist. I also draw from personal experience and how the brain and body can recover from trauma and become stronger mentally, physically, and emotionally.
As a counselor, I specialize in helping individuals working to overcome addiction and other issues related to addiction and process addictions. In a traditional therapy setting, I help people work through changes in life, depression, and anxiety. I also connect people to resources and supports as needed.
Additionally, I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma. I am certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, which is a specific intervention used within the therapy setting to help those who want to work through past trauma using a “bottom-up” approach, as opposed to “top-down” with traditional talk therapy.
Who I am able to work with:
I am looking to help those who want to improve their physical and mental health by using a whole-body and mind approach. I am able to offer both in-person and virtual sessions using a HIPAA-compliant Telehealth platform. I welcome any and all backgrounds or anyone who just wants to try something different when other forms of therapy or treatment have not yielded the results that you were looking for. I encourage and welcome collaboration with other medical professionals with whom you may be involved to best coordinate your care and treatment in this setting.
If you have a more severe injury or physical disability, I may not be able to work with you as that is outside of my scope of knowledge at this time. If this occurs, I would offer you additional referrals. As a person who holds an active counseling license in the state of PA I am a mandated reporter.
